Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho could not hide his joy after opening his account for Manchester United on Tuesday night.

A summer arrival from Borussia Dortmund, Sancho has struggled to find his footing at Old Trafford and has come under a lot of scrutinies in games but after being handed another start in Michael Carrick’s first game in charge of the team, he was to score deep in stoppage time to ensure his side’s points were safe.

Taking to Twitter after the game, Sancho tweeted: “Proud to score my first goal for Man United in the best competition in world football Champions League! Great team effort from the boys tonight, we build from this.”

England team-mates and reported Manchester United targets Declan Rice and Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham were certainly impressed by the strike-the pair reacted to his landmark goal on Twitter.

Sancho will be hoping to replicate the same outing when they take on Chelsea FC this weekend in what might be a determinant on the Premier League title race.
