Former Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has sent a warm goodbye message to the club’s faithful.
As Futaa reported on Sunday, the Red Devils decided to part ways with the Norwegian manager after just one too many poor results.
In a somewhat rare feature, the club conducted ‘a farewell interview’ with Ole soon after the news of his sacking came out to the world.
The club’s media simply asked Solskjaer to send his final parting message to the fans.
“It’s been a ball. Let’s keep supporting this team, you’ve got to stick with them,” he said.
“They [the fans] have been amazing with me since one of my first kicks of the ball, I scored with one of the first ones, until now.
“And I’m sure we’ll meet again because if there’s anywhere I’m going to watch football games, that’s at Old Trafford,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, the club is linked with one of the brightest coaches in Europe. His name is Erik ten Hag of Ajax Amsterdam.
For now, United are preparing to take on Villarreal in the UEFA Champions League.
