Former Chelsea FC manager Frank Lampard would like to manage Leicester City if they are to lose manager Brendan Rodgers.

Rodgers has heavily been linked with a move to Manchester United as speculations over the future of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer grows.

Lampard had been linked with the managerial positions at Crystal Palace, Newcastle, and Norwich but all have looked beyond the former England midfielder who is said to be waiting for the right opportunity.

According to Eurosport, Lampard is keeping ‘half an eye’ on the Foxes situation in case the position becomes available. The 43-year-old is said to be cautious about choosing the right club for the next step of his managerial career.

The report states that Lampard doesn’t want to manage anywhere other than in the Premier League and was the favourite for the Norwich job before leaving it for Dean Smith. He had successful talks with the Canaries and according to reports was on the brink of becoming their new manager but pulled out of the running late on.
