Tottenham Hotspurs

Tottenham Hotspurs has received an injury blow ahead of their weekend clash with Leeds United.

Spurs might be without defender Cristian Romero for the tie as he picked up a thigh injury during Argentina’s meeting with Brazil late on Tuesday.

It has been rumored that Conte would switch to a back-three formation and had Romero in mind as he is the only defender currently in the Spurs who excelled in a similar formation for Atalanta.

The severity of the injury is not yet known with Conte and Spurs hoping that it isn’t anything major heading into the tie in which will be his third game in charge since taking over from Nuno Espirito Santo.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side will head into the weekend’s action down in 15th having won just twice all season whilst also shipping 18 goals in 11 outings. Spurs on the other hand are currently 9th in the Premier League but could move up to 6th with a win this weekend.
