Reece James’ first goal against Newcastle United has been voted the Goal of the Month for October.

The defender hit a spectacular brace at St. James’ Park as the Blues cruised to a 3-0 win and kept their place at the top of the table.

The goal was one of seven from across the club’s men’s, women’s, and Academy sides to be nominated for the October Goal of the Month award.

James garnered 42 percent of those votes, with Mason Mount’s first of the three goals in the 7-0 home win over Norwich City, coming second with 23 percent.

Ben Chilwell’s decisive goal at Brentford in a 1-0 win came in third.
