Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has suggested FC Barcelona can get Raheem Sterling if they want.
As reported here on Futaa in recent weeks, Sterling is linked with a move to the Catalan giants after following way below the pecking order since the English champions signed Jack Grealish from Aston Villa on a record fee on the eve of the current season.
Sterling added fuel to the fire when he later said he would be open to a move abroad. His club manager Guardiola has since been asked to share his views on the reports.
“We have too much work to do but if Barcelona is interested in any of our players, I’m convinced that they can get them,” Guardiola said, as per Mundo Deportivo.
“The city, the club, the history and this for the coaches, for the players, always seduces a lot.
“If Barcelona is interested in one of our players, they will start the machinery, it is an ocean liner. Barcelona, in good and bad, can do what they want,” Pep concluded.
Meanwhile, the English champions are now looking ahead to the visit of Everton to the Etihad after the FIFA break.
