Scott McTominay

Scotland will miss the services of Scott McTominay when they take on Moldova in the World Cup qualifier match.

McTominay will miss the away trip through illness but could be available for selection when Scotland take on Denmark on Monday.

“Almost everyone is good. Unfortunately, Scott McTominay has picked up a bit of a throat virus so we have sent Scott home to rest and recuperate and hopefully he will join us again at the weekend,” manager Steve Clarke said.

On squad

“I looked at the squad and obviously you can think about calling someone up but we have good cover at center-back and good cover in midfield.”

“Yes it’s disappointing to lose Scott, but it’s going to be a big chance for someone else to play in the team.”

Scotland will welcome back Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney after he was passed fit following an ankle problem.

A win for Scotland will see them secure a play-off place before they take on Denmark on Monday.
