Germany forward Kai Havertz could miss his side’s clash with Liechtenstein after missing training due to pain in his thigh.
Havertz hasn’t trained on either Tuesday and Wednesday as he is nursing a thigh injury. The injury does not appear to be too serious and there’s no mention of what the actual problem is besides a bruise, but it would be a huge surprise if this didn’t have anything to do with his nasty clash with the advertising hoardings in the 1-1 draw with Burnley before the international break.
The Chelsea man picked up the knock during the Blues draw with Burnley over the weekend after he was knocked down by Ben Mee.
It’s a similar situation for fellow midfielder Mason Mount, who has been ruled out of England’s meeting with Albania on Friday following surgery on an infected wisdom tooth.
The issue saw Mount miss two games, the 3-0 win over Newcastle and the 1-0 triumph over Malmo, but he did manage five minutes at the end of the Burnley game.
