Barcelona Miralem Pjanic hopes of a fresh start with the club following the arrival of Xavi Hernandez.

The former Juventus man was left in the cold by former manager Ronald Koeman after a fell out with the player forced to leave on a loan deal to Besiktas in the summer where he enjoyed a solid start to the season before suffering from injury issues of late.

The 31-year-old joined Barca in 2020 as part of a swap deal with Arthur Melo but only made 19 appearances following his move and after being frozen by Koeman, Mundo Deportivo reports that the Bosnian hopes that he can be given a chance at the club.

That can only happen at the end of the season when he returns from his loan spell with his outing at Besiktas set to decide his fate when he returns.

Xavi is said to be a huge admirer of the player going by his style of play which the coach thinks can be helpful for his team who have been struggling since the start of the season.
