Uganda Premier League defending champions Express FC have been handed a huge boost by the return of captain Enock Walusimbi from injury.

Walusimbi has been on the sidelines for at least two months with a hip strain injury that saw him miss out on the international break. However, Walusimbi has returned to full training and is aiming to get back to full fitness.

“It has been a while for me, I definitely didn’t expect such a bad start to the season but I am happy that I am back to full training. Our medical department has done a tremendous job for me to get back fit so my immediate focus now is to be match fit ahead of the derby and I have no doubt that I will because our next game is a massive fixture and we need to earn maximum points,” he told the club’s official website.

“The boys have stepped it up, the break has enabled us to make a few corrections and I believe when the league resumes we shall have no option but to continue with picking up maximum points” he added.

The Red Eagles who sit 5th on the log with 7 points host arch-rivals S.C Villa next on 20th November at the Betway Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku.
