Man City boss Pep Guardiola says Man United are happy to have Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the weekend’s Manchester derby.
City were heavily linked with Ronaldo before he rejoined United in August.
Guardiola said of his meeting this Saturday: “Normally I don’t talk about players from other clubs. I am pretty sure Cristiano Ronaldo is happy at Man Utd and Man Utd are happy to have him.”
Pep Guardiola’s side could move above Liverpool into second place with a victory at Old Trafford and the City boss knows his side cannot afford to focus solely on the threat of Ronaldo, who now has nine goals in 11 games this season after Tuesday’s brace against Atalanta.
