After suffering chest discomfort against Alaves last weekend, Barcelona forward Sergio Aguero has been ruled out for the next three months.
In the first half of Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Camp No. 1, the 33-year-old was ailing, and he asked to be taken off.
The Catalan club have since released the following statement: “Sergio Aguero has been subjected to a diagnostic and therapeutic process by Dr. Josep Brugada.
“He is unavailable for selection and during the next three months the effectiveness of treatment will be evaluated in order to determine his recovery process.”

The Argentine has also taken to Twitter, stating: “I am well and in good spirits to face the recovery process. I want to thank you all for so many messages of support and love that make my heart stronger today.”
Since joining the Catalan club in the summer after departing Premier League champions Manchester City, Aguero has had a rough start.
With a calf injury that kept him out for the first two months of the new season, the striker has only made five appearances in all competitions.
