Tottenham Hotspur are set to appoint Ryan Mason as an interim manager if they are to pull the plug on Nuno Espirito Santo.
Santo who joined the club in the summer as a replacement for Jose Mourinho has started the season in a slow fashion and was booed by the club fans in their 0-3 loss to Manchester United on Sunday.
There have been reports that Spurs are set to sack the Portuguese with Mason set to take over as interim boss according to Football Insider. The 30-year-old was also in charge towards the end of last season after Mourinho’s firing.

Spurs are already looking for Nuno’s replacements with Antonio Conte, who has heavily been linked with a move to Manchester United, being one of the possible candidates.
Apart from Conte, other managers who have been linked with the job include Paulo Fonseca, Gennaro Gattuso and former manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Nuno enjoyed Tottenham’s best-ever start to a Premier League season with three successive 1-0 wins but there has been a downturn in results in recent weeks.
