Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe is set to resume training at the start of next week.

Lionel Messi and Mbappe both missed the Thursday training session with the duo set to miss Friday’s tie against Lille. As reported by L’Equipe, Mbappe is sidelined with an ear and nose infection, while Messi’s absence is yet to be disclosed.

PSG’s medical team released an update on Thursday regarding the squad’s fitness.

“Kylian Mbappé is still undergoing treatment for his ENT infection and will resume training at the start of next week,” a statement from the medical team read.

“After suffering a knock in the last game, Marco Verratti has a deep lesion in the oblique muscles of his left hip. He is expected to be out for four weeks, depending on how the injury evolves.”

On Ramos

“Sergio Ramos’s recovery programme, coordinated by the medical staff, is evolving as planned. He is expected to be able to begin training with the rest of the squad next week.”

“Leandro Paredes’s grade 3 lesion of the left quadriceps is evolving in a satisfactory manner according to the expectations of the medical staff. A return to competition is anticipated after the next international break.”

Paris Saint-Germain are currently at the top of the table with 28 points while Lille are 10th with 15.
