Liverpool hammer Manchester United
One of the most shocking games of Premier League football in recent memory played out on Sunday evening as Liverpool faced off with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Liverpool headed into the game aiming to continue their unbeaten start to the season, once again close the gap on table-topping Chelsea and continue their impressive league record against Manchester United, who they had not lost in the PL against since back in 2018.
And, when all was said and done, Liverpool achieved all of this in pretty convincing fashion.
The Merseysiders ran riot over their bitter rivals, scoring a staggering five goals with Man United not finding a single reply.
Liverpool are now back up to 2nd in the Premier League whilst United have slipped down to 7th.
What Liverpool pair did to Man United fans post-game
Following the game, Manchester United fans were understandably quite upset and aimed some of their frustrations at Liverpool players.
As per the Liverpool Echo, at full-time, Liverpool players and Jurgen Klopp went over to the corner of Old Trafford housing the away fans to applaud them.
They would then make their way back to the tunnel, but seemingly on the way, Man United fans would aim some stick at both Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
This as per the Echo, would prompt Alexander-Arnold to give the United fans a sarcastic wave and Andy Robertson to blow a kiss towards the United fans in question:
Alexander-Arnold gave a sarcastic wave to the end where United’s most vociferous fans are typically housed and Robertson was spotted blowing a kiss in the face of the stick he was receiving.
