Saturday’s early Premier League kick-off will see Chelsea play host to Norwich City.

On paper, the tie looks set to be an incredibly easy one to predict. Chelsea began the weekend as the top side in the Premier League with 19 points amassed from eight games.

Chelsea had also conceded just three goals in their eight PL ties before facing Norwich.

Norwich, on the other hand, began the day down in 20th place without a single win and whilst also in possession of the worst defence in the Premier League this campaign.

Why Kante missed out vs Norwich

Ahead of kick-off, Chelsea would release their starting line-up an hour before kick-off.

The squad was pretty standard, with Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner already expected to be missing the tie.

However, there was one big noticeable omission from the entire matchday squad in the form of N’Golo Kante.

The Frenchman would start earlier in the week for Chelsea vs Malmo in the Champions League, and Tuchel did not mention an injury in his pre-Norwich press conference on Friday.

Now though, the reason Kante missed out vs Norwich has been provided. With it reported that the midfielder has some muscle tightness and has been left out as a precaution:
