Paris Saint Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe has deleted an Instagram post after a deal to take him to Real Madrid collapsed on deadline day.
There had been reports on Tuesday that Madrid tabled a staggering offer of €220m for the Frenchman but PSG were not even willing to discuss any sort of a deal for a player who will be a free agent next summer.
Mbappe had made his desire to leave the French giants open through the summer window and there was a belief he could leave if the Laliga giants tabled a proper offer but that didn’t happen as his club were adamant to keep him this season.
With the transfer collapsing, Mbappe is set to leave PSG for free next summer as he is yet to sign a new deal with the team; the player taking to Instagram to make a teasing post about the decision to stay.
“I respect, my brother, for your professionalism, reschedule your dreams for later, life is beautiful, you’re the best,” read Mbappe, per Marca, while Aerosmith’s ‘Dream On’ played in the background.
Mbappe has since deleted the clip but it was yet another clear indication that he is determined to play for Real Madrid in the future.
