Jean-Clair Todibo’s days as a Barcelona player seem to be numbered. The team is counting on his departure, as they need to make up for some lost revenue, and they have entrusted youngster Ronald Araujo for his position in the squad.
The B team player has had several opportunities along the course, which is why Todibo seems to have no place in the team and was sent out on loan initially.
He was at Schalke 04, where he didn’t start off badly, although everything went wrong after the pandemic.
The Frenchman had quite a few games that could be improved and with some mistakes, so the Germans decided not to buy him.
Since it became clear that he would not be there any longer, Barcelona have offered the defender to half of Europe.
Olympique de Marseille, Fenerbahçe, Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers are just some of the teams that have asked for the youngster.
Todibo arrived at Barcelona as a great bet for the future, but has not shown in training or in the few games he has played that he is the player the team needs for the central strip of the defense.
The last club that has shown interest in the player is Rennes. Constantly linked with Salisu, the Real Valladolid centre-back is not the only defender in the portfolio.
The French could make their debut in the Champions League and Jean-Clair Todibo would be a defender to their liking.
The only problem, for now, is in the high expectations of Barça, which insists on charging 25 million euros to let the player out.
