Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident his players will bounce back when they host West Ham on Wednesday night in an English Premier League match.
The Red Devils were stunned 3-1 by Chelsea in the FA Cup semifinals on Sunday, ending their 19-match unbeaten run that dated back to January.
Speaking ahead of the match, the Norwegian was convinced the team will provide the perfect response, and boost their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League.
“Don’t get me wrong we don’t like to lose a game in the way we did, it’s an FA Cup semi-final,” he said while addressing the media.
“Then it’s about the reaction. We’ve been on a fantastic run and taken loads of points since the restart and that’s what we have to think about and get back to what we normally do after a defeat and that’s bounce back.”
“We’ve got ourselves into a fantastic position, probably a better position than anyone hoped for. A few weeks ago, we were probably thinking if we can go into the Leicester game and win it, then that gives us a chance,”
A positive result against the Hammers will move the Reds above Leicester in the table ahead of their final match at King Power showdown on Sunday.
They could also move to third if they win and Chelsea loses to Liverpool at Anfield.
