Barcelona manager, Quique Setién has decided to give his players a week’s rest to recover before preparing for the return of the Champions League.
Barça finished LaLiga last Sunday with a victory (0-5) against Alavés, and are now looking forward to the next stage of the season after a disappointing run.
After a session of recovery this Monday, Quique Setién has decided to give a week of rest to his players, according to ‘Marca’.
The members of the squad will not have to return to training until next Tuesday, when they are scheduled to start preparing for the return to the Champions League.
During this time, the ‘culés’ will have time to rest and recover after a difficult final stech in LaLiga, so they can return with renewed energy for the knockout round that has yet to be resolved.
Leo Messi was especially critical after the defeat against Osasuna that gave LaLiga to Madrid. “Either we change a lot or against Napoli we will lose too,” said the Argentinean star.
Barça will play against Napoli at the Camp Nou next August 8 at 21:00. The first leg was resolved in February, before the halt in world football because of the coronavirus pandemic, which ended with a 1-1 in San Paolo.
