Liverpool have confirmed that their manager, Jurgen Klopp, will be without two players when they host Chelsea in tonight’s Premier League fixture at Anfield due to injury.

The players are captain, Jordan Henderson and defender, Joel Matip.

Both Henderson and Matip have knee and foot injuries, respectively.

The pair are not expected to play any match for Liverpool this season.

The Reds disclosed this in a post via the club’s official website.

Liverpool head to the game following a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in their previous Premier League tie.

“Jordan Henderson (knee) and Joel Matip (foot) are not expected to play this term again, though the captain will lead the Premier League trophy presentation on the Kop after full-time on Wednesday night,” the statement read.
