Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has been named as the Premier League best player for the month of June.

The Portuguese playmaker has been an integral figure for United since he joined them in January and with the team yet to taste defeat in their last 17 games; the form culminating in a 3-0 win at Aston Villa on Thursday night where he scored the opener.

Fernandes has been involved in 13 goals for United – more than any other player during that period – and in June he scored three times as his team returned to action after the coronavirus suspension in superb form.

With the award, the midfielder becomes the first Manchester United player to win back-to-back Premier League Player of the Month awards since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2006.
