Arsenal might be struggling to stamp their authority in the English Premier League majorly because of some decisions that manager Mikel Arteta have not gone their way.
The team has received four red cards already under the Spaniard and it is an outing that reeks the question if they are the most indiscipline team in the Premier League.
Eddie Nketiah was sent off during Tuesday’s draw with Leicester, just moments after being introduced from the bench with the Gunners in the lead and the dismissal brought to light a rather worrying issue that has plagued Arteta’s short tenure as Arsenal boss.
The first was handed to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in Arteta’s fourth match (a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace) with David Luiz picking up the second red card two matches later when the Gunners drew 2-2 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
David Luiz was again shown a red card in their clash against Manchester City in their first game after the resumption and the aforementioned Nketiah being dismissed.
No other Premier League team has received more than four red cards this entire season with Arsenal having a total of five red cards in the season.
Apart from the red cards, no Premier League team has more yellow cards than Arsenal’s 73 in 2019/20, with the Gunners bottom of the Football Association’s Fair Play table, taking into account league matches only.
Arsenal’s outing is a contrast of champions Liverpool who have only 31 yellow cards and a single red card dished out to the Reds this term.
