Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is “infatuated” with Manchester United starlet Mason Greenwood and could launch a stunning bid this summer.
Greenwood, 18, scored a superb brace in United’s 5-2 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday.
The budding English forward has an impressive 15 goals to his name this season with critics and fans alike excited about his potential.
And it appears he’s already alerted Real Madrid who are reportedly eyeing up the teenage sensation ahead of tabling an offer in the summer transfer window.
Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Perez considers Greenwood as an option with a price tag of 100 million euros (£90.5 million) mooted.
Greenwood is enjoying a prolific breakout campaign and former England manager Glenn Hoddle believes he’ll “push” Marcus Rashford out of the United team.
“I think he will push Marcus Rashford out of the team. There’s a quote,” he said.
“I think he will end up being a far better clinical finisher and in the end I think you’re going to have to put this lad in first ahead of anyone else.”
Hoddle added: “Their front three at the moment is working really well for them, [But] When you look at Martial [and Rashford] they’re all wingers really; they want to play wide.
“So if they did go and get a centre forward, I think he could play round a real main focal centre forward and have him playing round there. Wow! He could be anything with the two feet.”
