Inter Millan are looking to have the signature of Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but that will be difficult to achieve unless Lautaro Martinez is sold, Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica says.

Inter have a long standing interest in signing the Serbian national team midfielder but due to UEFA’s financial fair play system it will be difficult for Inter to land Milinkovic-Savic unless they are to sell Lautaro, who has been continually linked with a move to Barcelona for some time now.

Lautaro has a €111 million release clause in his current contract with Inter and the release clause is due to expire just shortly meaning Inter could demand even more for him.

Should Inter get the value of his release clause or more, they would have adequate funds available to them to launch a move for Milinkovic-Savic, who is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in Serie A and as a result he will come far from cheap.
