It’s now practically 6 months ago since Kane’s last match for Tottenham. The 1st January against Southampton (1-0) was the last time that Spurs enjoyed his play.
But the wait is now over. Mourinho confessed in the press conference that he is now ready to play again after the injury that kept him on the sidelines for so long. The break, in a certain way, has suited the attacker well.
“He’s working very well. I can easily tell you that he’s going to start”, Mourinho said with regards to Kane’s presence in Tottenham’s match against Manchester United on Friday.
“Will he get 90, 80, 70 or 60 minutes? I don’t know, the game will tell us that”, the Portuguese manager didn’t want to specify.
Nor does he know how the English striker will respond. “Is he in the best of shape? I don’t know. He hasn’t played a football match for six months”, added the Portuguese manager.
