Napoli forward Hirving Lozano was yesterday kicked out of training by manager Gennaro Gattuso, for reportedly not putting in enough effort.
The Serie A side is currently preparing for Wednesday’s Coppa Italia final against Juventus, a match which Gattuso is looking to win, and have a trophy in his first season with the club.
This latest episode raises serious doubts over Lozano’s future at Napoli following an underwhelming campaign which has yielded just three goals.
The Mexico international, who joined from PSV Eindhoven in the summer, was an unused substitute in both legs of the Coppa Italia semifinals against Inter.
It has been a difficult campaign at Napoli, with Allan having been sent from training following a similar situation in February, according to ESPN sources.
As well as being in the Coppa Italia final, Napoli still has an outside of chance of making the top four as they sit nine points behind Atalanta, who have played a game fewer.
In the Champions League, they have their round-of-16 second leg with Barcelona having drawn 1-1 at the San Paolo.
